Galicia is a touristic paradise, and in Riveira we can find a selection of its wonders: tree-lined mountains, edenic beaches, cliffs where the sea beats rageously, landscapes of high value ecologic and aesthetically, summits raised as geological fancies to enjoy unbelievable views over our land and our rias. In other hand, Riveira is not a crossing site; it is in a corner and the best thing you can do to visit it is to stay some days among its people and its environment. In such a case, there is nothing more recommendable than the rest, lodged in a warm cosy place. To lodge, Riveira gives several choices.

Let the numbers speak for a while: every year 5000 people drop by the Tourism Council Office, yet the town is believed to receive 300000 visitors a year. 45% of the tourists come from our own region -Galicia-, 49% of them come from the rest of the State and 6% arrive from abroad -mainly France and Germany, but also Portugal, Italia, Argentina... Nearly a 90% of these tourists  lodge in the borough, crowded with tourists during holidays, weekends, Eastern and the two summerest months -July and August. Most of them choose houses or flats to rent, but hotels and boarding houses receive about a 25% of the visitors. As for the campsites, they give accommodation to the 10% of the tourism. We should remind that, due to the many people emigrated in past and present times, a lot of those who bring new fresh air to Riveira usually lodges in their own homes or their family homes.
